QA Tester - Contract

Rate: £450/day Location: Hybrid - 1 day/week onsite in Woking Duration: 6 months IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Start Date: ASAP

Role Summary

We're seeking 2 experienced QA Testers with strong Cypress automation skills to join a fast-paced delivery team. Ensuring quality across batch processing, embedded business logic, and high-volume data loads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute automated test cases using Cypress
• Validate batch processing of ~1 million fuel cards within 24-hour SLA
• Test across a monolithic architecture with embedded SQL logic
• Collaborate with developers and performance testers to ensure system stability
• Identify defects and edge cases in high-pressure environments
• Act as a proactive executor - not just a reviewer - in a delivery-focused team

Tech Stack

• Cypress (QA automation)
• .NET
• Azure SQL & Legacy SQL Server (triggers, stored procedures)
• Monolithic architecture with embedded business logic

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in QA automation using Cypress
• Comfortable testing complex SQL-driven systems
• Able to work independently and make decisions quickly
• London-based or able to attend Woking office 1 day/week
• Thrives in high-pressure, delivery-focused environments
