Test Engineer

Automated Testers - Newcastle (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite)

We are looking for skilled Automated Testers to join a high-performing delivery team based in Newcastle. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale digital transformation projects that deliver real value to citizens and users.

As a hands-on tester, you will play a key role in ensuring that software products meet the highest quality standards through effective automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Java, Cucumber, and Spring

• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and automated testing

• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary Agile teams to ensure high-quality software delivery

• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution

• Perform integration, API, and regression testing to validate functionality and performance

• Contribute to the improvement of testing practices, frameworks, and processes across projects

• Proven experience in test automation within Agile or DevOps delivery environments

• Strong programming skills in Java and experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber

• Understanding of Spring frameworks and AWS environments

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar

• Good knowledge of API testing (e.g., REST Assured, Postman)

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
