Location: Home based with travel to client sites as required
Salary: c.£70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Wider Package

I’m working with a major procurement consultancy who are looking to hire a Principal Consultant with strong clinical procurement experience.
This is a great opportunity for someone with deep NHS or private healthcare procurement experience who wants to work across a varied client base, leading complex clinical procurement projects and delivering tangible savings across high-value spend areas.
The Role
You will lead and support complex procurement projects across clinical spend areas, working closely with healthcare clients to deliver commercial value, savings and improved procurement outcomes.
The role will involve working across multiple clients, so you’ll need to be comfortable managing competing priorities, leading projects end-to-end and influencing stakeholders in complex healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex clinical procurement projects across NHS and/or private healthcare clients.
- Deliver measurable savings and commercial value across clinical spend areas.
- Work closely with clinical stakeholders to understand requirements and shape effective procurement strategies.
- Manage sourcing activity across multiple clinical categories, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
- Support the development and adoption of AI-enabled tools within procurement delivery and client work.
Key Experience Required
- 5+ years’ clinical procurement experience.
- Strong experience working within the NHS or private healthcare sector.
- Proven track record of delivering savings across clinical spend categories.
- Excellent knowledge of public sector procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act. (If from public sector)
- Strong clinical stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Clinical Category Experience
Experience across a range of clinical categories would be highly desirable, including:
- Medical and surgical consumables.
- Prosthetics.
- Radiology.
- Pathology.
- Wider clinical goods, services and healthcare spend areas.
