The Role

We're searching for a Marketo maestro to transform our clients email marketing into a revenue-driving machine. You'll combine technical prowess with creative flair to design personalised campaigns that cut through inbox clutter and deliver real resultsmore opens, more clicks, more conversions.

This isn't just about hitting send. You'll architect sophisticated automated journeys, optimise every element through rigorous testing, and use data to constantly push performance higher.

Essential Skills:

  • 3+ years' hands-on experience in email marketing, with 2+ years mastering Marketo
  • Proven track record of building and optimising high-performing email campaigns that drive measurable results
  • Expert knowledge of Marketo's core features: Smart Campaigns, Engagement Programmes, Lead Scoring, and dynamic content
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation, lead nurturing, segmentation strategies, and customer journey mapping
  • Proficiency in A/B and multivariate testing to optimise campaign performance
  • Solid grasp of email deliverability best practices, authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and compliance (GDPR, PECR)
  • Experience integrating Marketo with CRM systems (particularly Salesforce)
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, and Marketo reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills and sharp attention to detail

Bonus Points

  • Experience with HTML/CSS for email template creation and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of additional marketing automation platforms or email design tools
  • Understanding of SQL for advanced reporting
  • Experience in B2B marketing or the events industry

Build Campaigns That Perform

  • Design, build, and deploy email campaigns in Marketofrom newsletters and event promotions to complex nurture programmes
  • Create automated workflows, drip campaigns, and triggered emails that engage audiences at the right moment
  • Craft personalised experiences at scale using dynamic content and tokenisation

Master Marketo's Full Potential

  • Leverage Smart Campaigns, Engagement Programmes, and Lead Scoring to optimise lifecycle marketing
  • Build sophisticated segmentation strategies and integrate seamlessly with CRM platforms (Salesforce and beyond)

Test, Learn, Optimise

  • Run A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times
  • Use Marketo Insights and analytics tools to identify improvements and refine strategies based on data

Prove the Impact

  • Track key metrics: open rates, CTR, conversion rates, and ROI
  • Build dashboards and reports that communicate campaign performance and shape business strategy
  • Ensure all campaigns meet compliance requirements whilst maintaining excellent deliverability
