Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with additional on-call rota duties once trained

Summary
Are you a Senior Deployment and Integration Engineer looking to support critical national infrastructure in the UK? If so, this might be the perfect opportunity for you. You will be based in Prestwick, working alongside Project Managers, Engineers and customer stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Job Description
As one of our Deployment and Integration Engineers, you will be part of a customer-facing engineering team responsible for implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as a Service platforms and implementation of ATM products into customer environments. The role involves daily interaction with virtualization, networking, operating systems, scripting, and automation tools. You will also support integration activities with operational end users and contribute to the development of technical documentation and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Providing third-line support for operational ATM systems, including incident analysis and resolution to the customer
- Collaborating with offshore development teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Supporting deployment and maintenance of training and test environments
- Participating in customer meetings to report on investigations and progress
- Acting as engineering focal point during system development and integration activities
- Deploying and integrating hardware/software systems in ATM environments
- Producing formal documentation including procedures, designs, and network architecture
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customer stakeholders
Person Specification
In this role you will be involved in regular engagement with offshore engineering teams to support investigation, integration, and deployment activities. Candidates who can communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders and navigate multi-site technical environments will be well suited.
Essential Criteria
To be successful you need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
- Experience in regulated and Safety critical environments (e.g. Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Rail, Automotive, Maritime, etc.) with a focus on system integration and infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on skills in Linux (preferably RHEL), virtualization (VMware/KVM), networking (TCP/IP, multicast), and scripting (Shell, Python)
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Ansible or Puppet) and network troubleshooting tools (Tcpdump, Wireshark)
- Clear communication skills and the ability to produce technical documentation and presentation for internal and external stakeholders
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with container-based systems (Docker/Kubernetes)
