The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to play a pivotal role in driving new business growth.

As the first point of contact for prospective clients, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging key decision-makers, generating qualified opportunities, and contributing directly to the commercial pipeline.

This role is ideal for someone who is commercially driven, proactive, and confident operating in a fast-paced, target-led environment, with a strong interest in digital commerce and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and research target organisations across key sectors (eCommerce, retail, B2B)
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of prospective clients
  • Leverage tools such as LinkedIn, CRM systems, and outbound platforms to drive activity

Outreach & Engagement

  • Execute multi-channel outbound strategies (email, phone, social)
  • Craft tailored messaging to engage senior stakeholders (e.g. CMO, Head of eCommerce, Digital Director)
  • Secure high-quality discovery meetings for the sales team

Qualification

  • Understand client challenges, objectives, and budget considerations
  • Assess and qualify opportunities against defined criteria
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM systems

Collaboration

  • Partner closely with marketing to align on campaigns and messaging
  • Work with senior sales stakeholders to convert opportunities
  • Share market insights and feedback to refine targeting strategies

Performance & Optimisation

  • Consistently meet or exceed activity and pipeline targets
  • Monitor performance metrics and conversion rates
  • Continuously refine outreach strategies to improve effectiveness

  • Qualified meetings booked
  • Pipeline value generated
  • Outreach-to-meeting conversion rates
  • Activity levels (calls, emails, social engagement)

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a BDR/SDR or sales-focused role (ideally within digital, tech, or eCommerce)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Highly organised with a data-driven approach to performance
  • Self-starter with a proactive, resilient mindset
  • Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment
