Rate: £230£270 per day (Inside IR35)
Working Setup: Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Introduction:
Talent-Relay has partnered with a leading global financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Golang Engineer / Go Developer to join a high-profile programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern, microservices-based platform that supports millions of customers globally. You'll join a collaborative Agile Scrum team responsible for designing, building and enhancing backend services within the customer accounts domain while working alongside engineers across the wider platform.
The successful Golang Engineer will play a key role in developing scalable backend services, contributing to CI/CD best practices, and helping deliver innovative customer experiences using modern cloud-native technologies. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Golang.
Build and enhance microservices supporting the global Loyalty & Benefits platform.
Develop high-performance RESTful APIs and integrate asynchronous messaging services such as Kafka.
Collaborate with cross-functional Agile Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software.
Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and software engineering best practices.
Work closely with engineers across the platform to share technical knowledge and improve engineering standards. Required Skills:
Strong commercial as a Golang Engineer
Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
Solid experience with Git , Jenkins , PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience working with messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
Experience working within CI/CD environments.
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred:
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent commercial experience).
Experience with Docker , gRPC and GraphQL .
Knowledge of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Testing.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban and SAFe.
Experience using tools such as Jira or Rally.
