This is a senior leadership role within a progressive commercial procurement function, with accountability for IT and Professional Services categories across the business.

The overarching procurement mission is clear: to deliver exceptional value, sustainability and supply-chain resilience through strategic supplier partnerships, innovation and continuous improvement, enabling the organisation to meet evolving customer and business needs.

As Head of Procurement - IT & Professional Services, you will lead a specialist category team and take full commercial ownership of sourcing strategy, supplier performance and value delivery. You will ensure that services are commercially competitive, high quality, fit for purpose and aligned to wider organisational objectives.

You will build trusted partnerships with senior internal stakeholders, simplify and modernise sourcing processes, and drive a more agile and outcome-focused commercial approach. Working closely with Supplier Relationship Management leadership, you will optimise supplier performance and unlock innovation to deliver sustainable operational and commercial benefits.

Key elements of the role include:

  • Owning and evolving category strategies, plans and sourcing pipelines

  • Leading complex commercial negotiations and contractual agreements

  • Defining and agreeing KPIs, SLAs and performance measures

  • Driving effective supplier governance and continuous improvement

  • Maximising the use of eProcurement tools for knowledge management, compliance and insight

  • Embedding best practice, commercial discipline and capability across the function
