Technical Author

Must be happy to work onsite in Sheffield 2-3 days per week

We're looking for a skilled Technical Author/Designer to create clear, engaging documentation and presentations that support our teams, stakeholders, and end users. You'll translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand materials and help drive knowledge sharing across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and maintain process docs, SOPs, technical manuals, and system workflows.

• Translate software engineering and business concepts into user-friendly content.

• Create professional presentations for training, stakeholders, and executives.

• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all documentation.

• Support knowledge management and continuous improvement in documentation practices.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Technical Author/Writer in IT or software engineering.

• Strong communication skills with attention to detail.

• Knowledge of software engineering (SDLC, Agile, DevOps).

• Proficiency with documentation and presentation tools (Confluence, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

• Experience creating engaging technical content and visuals.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity is a plus.
