About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, stakeholder facing Business Analyst to hit the ground running on a rapid Discovery and Alpha phase within a critical government programme

This is an outcome driven role designed to bridge complex policy, user needs, and technical feasibility. You will be responsible for unpicking tricky problem spaces, mapping key user journeys, and establishing a clear, validated direction for Alpha delivery.

Key Outcomes & Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment: Facilitate discovery workshops with diverse public sector stakeholders to translate complex requirements into actionable service outcomes.
  • Governance, Risk & Assurance: Establish and maintain robust RAID logs and drive proactive risk mitigation planning throughout the phase.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure solution models embed privacy-by-default, strictly adhering to GDPR, UK data protection laws, and Cyber Security best practices.
  • Technical Documentation: Collaborate with architects to document system visualisations using the C4 model (Context, Containers, Components, Code) and record Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Senior / Lead BA delivering Discovery and Alpha phases within Central Government or the wider Public Sector.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead discussions and secure buy-in across mixed disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience producing RAID logs, ADRs, C4 models, and risk mitigation documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy-by-default, GDPR, and government cyber security principles.
  • Clearance: Basic BPSS required
