About the role:
An established public sector organisation in London is seeking an experienced IT Contracts Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of digital and technology suppliers.
This role will play a key part in strengthening commercial oversight, improving supplier performance, and ensuring value for money across a broad range of IT services and systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the full lifecycle of IT contracts, from initial procurement through to renewal or exit
- Supporting sourcing activities including market engagement, tender documentation, and evaluation processes
- Developing category plans and commercial strategies aligned to organisational technology goals
- Maintaining accurate contract documentation and renewal pipelines
- Monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Advising internal stakeholders on commercial risk, contractual terms, and governance requirements
- Leading negotiations relating to contract variations, renewals, and dispute resolution
Essential experience:
- Strong background in IT procurement and contract management within a regulated environment
- Experience managing medium to large-scale technology contracts
- Sound understanding of commercial principles, including risk allocation and supplier accountability
- Proven ability to deliver cost optimisation and service improvement outcomes
- Experience working with internal technical and operational teams to align commercial arrangements with business needs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial, procurement, or contract management roles
- MCIPS qualification or equivalent commercial experience
- Demonstrated track record of building productive supplier relationships and delivering measurable value
