Business Systems Analyst (RPA)

£450 per day (Outside IR35)

Manchester (1 day per week on-site)

This 6 month contract role requires a Business Systems Analyst to lead Agile requirements gathering, process mapping, and user story breakdown, bridging business stakeholders and third party partners to deliver Blue Prism automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation, backlog refinement, and user story breakdown for Robotic Process Automation initiatives.
• Drive the delivery of the initial project (Alternative Enrolment Automation) using Blue Prism.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, in-house developers, and third-party Blue Prism delivery partners.
• Define testable acceptance criteria (using BDD or equivalent) and manage backlog dependencies, risks, and business impacts.
• Produce key Agile deliverables, including epics, user stories, current/future-state process maps, and traceability matrices.
• Support test scenario definition, UAT planning, execution, and defect triage.
• Assist in establishing a broader RPA Centre of Excellence.

Experience Required

• Significant experience operating as a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst.
• Demonstrable track record delivering RPA solutions (Blue Prism experience is essential)
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum environments, leading workshops, backlog grooming, and user story mapping.
• Proven ability to write detailed, testable acceptance criteria and process maps.
• Hands on experience working across dual delivery channels: internal engineering teams and external suppliers/partners.
