NetSuite Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced Technical NetSuite Contractor to join a clients ongoing transformation programme. This role is critical to stabilizing the current project environment, redefining requirements, and supporting the delivery of eight major change areas. The position requires strong technical capability, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate effectively within a politically sensitive and fast-moving environment.

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 3–6 months (likely extension)

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse the current NetSuite implementation, identify gaps, and support the redefinition of core project requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize NetSuite customisations using SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.0), workflows, and configurations.
• Lead technical workstreams related to integrations, APIs, and system enhancements.
• Support workshops to reassess functional requirements and document technical impacts.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug existing code, and ensure stability across the platform.
• Provide hands-on support for eight major change areas requiring further technical development.
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants, PMs, and leadership to drive progress in a politically complex environment.
• Produce technical documentation, integration specifications, and development notes.
• Contribute to revised timelines and planning based on current project status.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of NetSuite technical experience, especially in integration-heavy environments.

Strong proficiency in:

• SuiteScript 2.0 (mandatory), SuiteScript 1.0
• REST/SOAP APIs
• Integration frameworks (Celigo, Boomi, Mulesoft, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with custom records, workflows, saved searches, roles & permissions, scripts, and forms.
• Proven ability to bring structure, clarity, and momentum.
• Strong analytical skills to help re-establish requirements and identify gaps.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver fast, high-quality technical outputs.
