Platform Engineer (HashiCorp Nomad)

£615 per day inside IR35

Location: London

6 months +

3 days per week onsite in London, 2 days WFH (remote)

My client, a leading digital transformation agency are actively recruiting for an experienced Platform Engineer (HashiCorp Nomad) to assist in delivering critical infrastructure services for a well known bank.

The successful Platform Engineer (HashiCorp Nomad) will have demonstrable kills in:

• Deploying and managing HashiCorp Nomad clusters in production environments.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining HashiCorp Consul in production environments.
• Proficient knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code, including module development and state management.
• Solid understanding of HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL) for defining infrastructure and application configurations.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and Firewall rules.
• Strong grasp of security best practices in cloud and on-premise environments, including identity and access management (IAM) and secrets management.
• Good experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools relevant to distributed systems (eg, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Experience with Scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automation tasks.
