Field Engineer / Field Support Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer 3 months Scotland Inside IR35
Were looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer / Field Engineer to join our client on an initial 3-month contract . Youll be providing IT support across multiple sites in Scotland, with a base at the clients head office in central Glasgow and several satellite locations.
This is a field-based role (MondayFriday) requiring regular travel across Scotland. A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are essential. All travel expenses will be covered.
What youll be doing
- Providing 1st and 2nd Line IT support (phone, email, and deskside)
- Responding to incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs
- Delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance to ensure smooth IT operations
- Supporting hardware, software, and user accounts across multiple locations
What were looking for
- Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support / Field Engineer role
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows 10 & Office 365
- Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Active Directory & Exchange
- Hardware support (desktops, laptops, printers)
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (essential)
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
