Field Engineer / Field Support Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer 3 months Scotland Inside IR35

Were looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer / Field Engineer to join our client on an initial 3-month contract . Youll be providing IT support across multiple sites in Scotland, with a base at the clients head office in central Glasgow and several satellite locations.

This is a field-based role (MondayFriday) requiring regular travel across Scotland. A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are essential. All travel expenses will be covered.

What youll be doing

  • Providing 1st and 2nd Line IT support (phone, email, and deskside)
  • Responding to incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs
  • Delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance to ensure smooth IT operations
  • Supporting hardware, software, and user accounts across multiple locations

What were looking for

  • Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support / Field Engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows 10 & Office 365
  • Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Active Directory & Exchange
  • Hardware support (desktops, laptops, printers)
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
