SAP Business Analyst - Permanent - Stoke-on-Trent - £50,000-£55,000

TalentBank Technology is partnering with a manufacturing organisation in Stoke-on-Trent to recruit a permanent SAP Business Analyst to support a major multi-phase SAP S/4HANA implementation.

This is a broad, hands-on BA role covering a full ERP rollout across warehousing, finance, planning, sales and purchasing - with a factory pilot and full rollout to follow. Working alongside the external SAP integrator initially, you will shadow their team before taking ownership of the BA function as the programme matures. It is a genuine opportunity for someone looking to step up into a senior role and make a tangible impact across a complex, long-term programme with an expected runway of two to three years.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and the SAP technical team across all phases of a multi-phase S/4HANA implementation
• Partner with business departments to gather, document and validate functional and technical requirements across modules including MM, SD, FI/CO and PP
• Analyse existing operational processes and design efficient future-state workflows within the SAP ecosystem
• Shadow and collaborate with the external SAP integrator before taking ownership of the BA function as the programme progresses
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), produce test scripts and support data migration activities throughout system upgrades and rollouts
• Work with SAP developers and technical teams to configure, test and implement SAP modules across programme phases
• Create user documentation and deliver end-user training to support adoption and knowledge transfer
• Provide ongoing system support and troubleshooting across business functions as BAU activity increases
• Contribute to programme governance, reporting and stakeholder communication as part of a small internal SAP team

Required Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience within an SAP environment
• Broad functional knowledge across core SAP modules - MM, SD, FI/CO and PP; cross-module exposure is more important than deep specialism in a single area
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA in an implementation or rollout context
• Proven ability to gather and translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications
• Strong process mapping and documentation skills
• Experience supporting or leading UAT, test script creation and data migration activities
• Excellent stakeholder management skills - comfortable engaging across IT, Finance and operational teams
• Self-sufficient and adaptable; able to operate effectively in a programme environment where structure and reporting lines are still evolving
• SAP certification or experience working alongside an external SAP integrator is advantageous
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and process modelling tools such as Visio is a plus
