Assistant Management Accountant
Talentedge are actively recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a growing technology business in the Docklands for a 12-14 month maternity contract paying £30-33k per annum and offering hybrid working (3 days per week in the office)
Duties include:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including: accruals, prepayments, payroll journals after reconciling with the monthly payroll file
 - Perform reconciliations for balance sheet, including bank, intercompany and fixed assets
 - Perform month-end close, ensuring all deadlines are met
 - Perform monthly commentary on costs actuals to provide a detailed and accurate analysis of P&L
 - Quarterly commissions calculation for the UK. Ensure accurate accruals towards colleague’s upcoming bonus and commission payments
 - Monthly payroll processing and submission for UK Payroll to external payroll provider. Including: reviewing timesheets, calculating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc
 - Set up monthly payroll Bacs and PAYE tax payments due to HMRC on the bank portal
 - Assist with year-end auditing on payroll related queries, deal with internal/external queries by producing financial reporting
 - Produce detailed and accurate monthly payroll analysis to be reviewed by the UK Financial controller
 - Process inter-company recharges for staffing cross charges between entities
 - Maintain accurate coding records for colleagues and ensure these are updated and communicated
 - Quarterly reconciliation of EMEA colleagues ensuring our receivables and accruals is correct and align with the record from the EMEA controller
 - Coordinate with other departments to obtain relevant financial data to ensure accuracy
 - Manage the end-to-end process of P11D reporting, including data collection, form preparation, and HMRC submission ensuring accuracy and adherence to HMRC deadlines and regulations
 
Applicants must have's:
- Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
 - Proficient knowledge of ERP and financial consolidation systems.
 - NetSuite experience will be an advantage

 - Excellent numeracy skills
 - Excellent interpersonal skills
 - Attention to detail
 - Second European language highly preferred
 - O Level / GCSE Math’s / English required
 - AAT Qualified would be Beneficial
 - At least 2 years’ payroll experience
 - Proven analytical skills and problem-solving skills
