People Operations Lead | 4-Month FTC | London Hybrid - 2 days in office
Up to £75,000
We’re looking for a hands-on People Operations Lead to join a fast-scaling technology business specialising in digital asset and blockchain intelligence, supporting the People team through an exciting period of growth and change.
This is a 4-month full-time contract role, ideal for an experienced People Operations professional who enjoys being close to the detail, keeping things moving and finding smarter ways of working.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day People Operations function, ensuring employees and contractors have a smooth experience across the employee lifecycle, while also identifying opportunities to improve and automate existing processes.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the People team inbox and responding to employee queries
- Onboarding employees and contractors through HiBob and wider company processes
- Partnering with IT and Logistics to deliver a seamless onboarding experience
- Managing People-related documentation, including commission letters and parental leave
- Supporting statutory and ad hoc reporting across the UK, US and Singapore
- Managing external People partners, including background checks and global employment providers
- Preparing accurate data for monthly and twice-monthly payrolls
- Managing employee and contractor offboarding
- Keeping policies and Notion content up to date
- Supporting benefits administration across healthcare, pensions and other providers
- Looking for opportunities to improve, automate and streamline People processes
The Efficiency Piece
- A key part of the role will be looking at how AI and automation can make People Operations more efficient.
- We’re particularly interested in someone who has hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude to improve processes, whether that’s through prompting, workflow integration, automation or agentic task design.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to explore existing tools and integrations to create more self-service capability and reduce repetitive manual work.
What We're Looking For
- Strong People Operations experience within a fast-scaling technology business
- Comfortable managing the full People Operations workload across multiple locations
- Experience working with HRIS/payroll/benefits and external People providers
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to turn policies and processes into clear, accessible information
- Highly organised, pragmatic and comfortable working independently
- Someone who enjoys improving processes rather than simply maintaining them
- Hands-on experience using AI to improve or automate People processes
- Able to make recommendations and confidently drive outcomes in a fast-moving environment
