Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior Scientist to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is Site-based, in Sandwich, Kent.

Senior Scientist (Biopharmaceutics Modelling & Simulation) Role:
- Develop and apply PBBM/PBPK models using Simcyp, GastroPlus, or similar software.
- Predict oral absorption, food effect, bioavailability, and virtual bioequivalence.
- Run model calibration, sensitivity analysis, and uncertainty assessments.
- Work with lab scientists to design and interpret in vitro studies.
- Support development of clinically relevant dissolution methods.
- Present modelling outcomes in reports, presentations, and regulatory documents.
- PhD or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, or related field.
- Expertise in PBPK, PBBM, pharmacometrics, or model-informed drug development.
- Strong grasp of oral absorption, dissolution, permeability, and pharmacokinetics.
- Hands-on experience with Simcyp, GastroPlus, PK-Sim, or similar platforms.
- Strong scientific communication skills, with evidence of publications/presentations and regulatory submission experience.
- Desirable: knowledge of Python/R/MATLAB, machine learning/data science experience, and exposure to multiple drug modalities (poorly soluble compounds, peptides, complex dosage forms).
