Cooling Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Cooling Field Service Engineer to join a growing technical services team, specialising in refrigeration and air conditioning solutions for a variety of environments, including data centres. This role involves installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and client support, ensuring high service standards and technical excellence.
To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
- Recognised qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning (e.g. City & Guilds Level 1 & 2)
- F-Gas qualified (or working towards) preferred
- Proven experience as a Cooling Field Service Engineer or in a similar refrigeration/air conditioning role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC controllers, and industry regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills, able to work independently and under pressure
- Good communication, teamwork, and customer service abilities
- Physically fit – able to lift and move items over 30kg regularly
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
Within this position, you’ll also be:
- Install, commission, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment across the full product range
- Carry out preventative maintenance and urgent repairs on single and multi-module systems
- Conduct site surveys, technical analysis, and customer consultations
- Troubleshoot cooling issues, liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve problems quickly
- Coordinate projects during site implementations, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
- Deliver exceptional customer service, including client training on installed systems
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and equipment return processes
