Flexcube Functional SME / Principal Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced FLEXCUBE Functional Expert to join our team and lead the functional aspects of our core banking implementation. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex banking requirements into effective FLEXCUBE solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Analysis & Solution Design:

• Lead requirements gathering workshops with business users to understand and document functional specifications
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive Functional Specification Documents (FSD) and System Requirement Specifications (SRS)
• Define functional architecture and ensure alignment with banking best practices
• Conduct gap analysis between business needs and FLEXCUBE out-of-the-box functionality, proposing suitable workarounds or customizations.

Implementation & Configuration:

• Configure FLEXCUBE modules including CASA (Current and Savings Accounts), Consumer Lending, Term Deposits, General Ledger, and Payments based on business requirements
• Define integration patterns and prepare Interface Specifications Design Documents
• Guide parameterization and maintenance setup across various FLEXCUBE modules
• Support data migration activities from legacy systems, including data mapping and validation

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases covering both functional and integration aspects
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Ensure quick turnaround of defect fixes and perform root cause analysis
• Manage functional traceability matrix to ensure complete requirements coverage.

Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with business users, project managers, and development teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide functional guidance and clarification to development teams during implementation
• Manage customer relationships and resolve escalations during consulting delivery cycles
• Liaise with cross-location distributed teams in global delivery models.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related field
• 7-10+ years of experience in FLEXCUBE implementation and support projects
• In-depth knowledge of FLEXCUBE versions 12.x and 14.x modules, maintenance setups, and data model.
• Strong expertise in retail banking domains including CASA, Loans, Term Deposits, and Payments
• Experience with payment domains (SWIFT, SEPA) is highly desirable
• Excellent understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with strong influencing and negotiating abilities
• Proven ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
• Willingness to travel for client implementations as required
• Familiarity with OBM, Switch interface and OBO module is crucial.
