Vice President Fraud Performance

Vice President Fraud Performance

Join a global fraud prevention and authentication technology business supporting banks, payment providers and financial institutions in a newly created VP leadership role bringing together Data Science, Fraud Analytics and Fraud Advisory Services.

This is not a traditional Data Science leadership position. The opportunity is to build an integrated Fraud Performance function that combines deep fraud and payments expertise, advanced analytics and executive-level customer advisory to deliver measurable improvements in customer fraud performance and outcomes.

The business is investing in this capability as the fraud market increasingly shifts from competing on technology features alone towards measurable performance, AI-driven intelligence and strategic advisory.

About the role

Reporting directly to the CTO, the VP, Fraud Performance will lead a global multidisciplinary organisation spanning Data Science, Fraud Analytics and Fraud Advisory Services.

You will be responsible for defining how these teams operate together, establishing shared accountability for customer fraud performance and ensuring technical and analytical capabilities translate into meaningful customer and commercial outcomes.

The role sits at the intersection of technology, customer strategy, consulting and product direction. You will work directly with senior leaders at banks, payment providers and financial institutions, while partnering internally across Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success and executive leadership.

This is a transformation role. You will inherit established expertise, but have the opportunity to assess the existing organisation, evolve its operating model and shape how Fraud Performance develops as a strategic capability.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global Fraud Performance strategy, bringing together Data Science, Fraud Analytics and Fraud Advisory Services around shared customer outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a global multidisciplinary organisation, creating greater alignment, accountability and pace across specialist teams.
  • Act as a senior fraud advisor to strategic customers, leading executive-level discussions and translating complex fraud challenges into clear actions and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive the development and commercialisation of Fraud Performance and Advisory capabilities, demonstrating customer value and supporting strategic sales, expansion and renewals.
  • Ensure emerging fraud trends and customer insight influence Data Science priorities, product strategy and future investment.
  • Build a high-performing operating model that combines technical rigour, deep fraud expertise, customer focus and commercial awareness.

Ideal candidate profile

  • Deep, direct expertise in fraud prevention and payments, including areas such as payments fraud, authentication, transaction fraud, digital fraud, account takeover, behavioural analytics or fraud performance.
  • Significant leadership experience across Data Science, Fraud Analytics, Fraud Advisory or closely connected technical and customer-facing functions, including sizeable multidisciplinary teams.
  • An established track record of advising and influencing C-suite stakeholders within banks, payment providers or financial institutions.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with experience connecting technical or advisory capabilities to P&L, revenue growth, strategic sales, customer expansion, renewals or commercial services.
  • Evidence of leading significant organisational transformation, with the ability to drive pace, influence complex stakeholder groups and lead confidently through change.
  • Strong technical and analytical credibility, ideally supported by advanced academic credentials in a relevant quantitative discipline.

Experience that would stand out

  • Leadership experience within a recognised fraud prevention, payments, authentication, identity or fraud technology provider.
  • Experience combining Data Science or analytical teams with consulting, Professional Services or customer advisory capabilities.
  • Direct responsibility for fraud performance, optimisation or measurable customer outcomes, including developing or commercialising advisory services.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning applied to fraud prevention, payments or authentication, and using customer insight to influence product strategy.

Why join

  • Build a newly unified strategic function rather than simply inherit a mature operating model.
  • Work directly with the CTO and executive leadership on an area becoming increasingly important to the company's competitive strategy.
  • Lead across Data Science, fraud expertise and customer advisory rather than being confined to a single technical discipline.
  • Have direct influence over how sophisticated financial institutions improve fraud performance and derive greater value from fraud technology.
  • Shape advisory services, customer strategy and product direction as the fraud market continues to evolve.
  • Join at a point where AI, advanced analytics and deep fraud expertise are becoming increasingly important differentiators in how fraud technology providers create customer value.
