Security Solutions Architect
Location: UK (Hybrid)Basis: Full Time Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 + Bonus
About the roleA fast-growing UK technology services provider is expanding its Solutions Engineering function and is looking for an experienced Security Solutions Architect to join the team.
This is a client-facing, pre-sales focused role, working closely with sales and technical teams to design, position, and present modern cybersecurity solutions. You'll play a key role in helping organisations understand their security risks and translating complex technical requirements into clear, business-focused solutions.
Reporting into senior technical leadership, you'll be involved across the full pre-sales lifecycle - from discovery and solution design through to proposals, tenders, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts. This role suits someone who enjoys blending deep technical knowledge with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Key responsibilities
Deliver chargeable and non-chargeable technical pre-sales services to new and existing customersAct as a trusted technical adviser, building strong relationships with prospects and clientsSupport sales teams during customer meetings, discovery sessions, and opportunity qualificationDeliver engaging technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshopsDesign and run custom demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (POCs)Evaluate and position security solutions against competitive offeringsContribute to solution design, proposals, scopes of work, and tender responsesSupport internal and external customer-facing events, webinars, and campaigns
Skills & experience required
- Experience in a technical consultancy, pre-sales, or customer-facing role within an MSP or IT reseller (essential)
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, security, and managed services technologies
- Hands-on exposure to security vendors such as Sophos, Fortinet, N-able, Mimecast, Barracuda, or similar
- Proven ability to produce high-quality customer-facing proposals and technical documentation
- Relevant technical certifications (vendor or industry recognised)
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to articulate business value
- Excellent presentation, demonstration, and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills
- Confident working collaboratively with both sales and technical teams
- UK-based, willing to travel as required
- Full, clean UK driving licence
