Salary - £45,000 - £60,000

We are seeking a talented Senior Backend/DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in developing robust backend systems and architecting new platform solutions.

Responsibilities: As a vital member of the team, you will:

1. Build and Architect Robust Backend Systems: Develop and maintain the backbone of our client's platforms, constructing resilient and scalable backend systems capable of handling complex data and processes efficiently.
2. Design and Implement APIs: Create reliable, secure, and high-performing APIs to facilitate seamless integration and communication between different systems.
3. Develop Advanced Data Storage Solutions: Architect scalable and secure SQL & NoSQL databases to meet evolving business needs.
4. Craft Infrastructure using IaC, Serverless, Containerization, and Cloud Servers: Architect and manage infrastructure supporting both frontend and backend systems to ensure robustness and efficiency.
5. Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments for a smooth and reliable release process.
6. Maintain Documentation: Keep comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.
7. Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Essential Skills:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in defining cloud resources using familiar programming languages.
• API Development and NodeJS Backend Architecture: Proven experience in developing robust and scalable APIs and backend systems.
• AWS Technologies and Infrastructure Architecture: Expertise in AWS services for architecting and managing cloud infrastructure.
• DevOps Practices and Tools: Solid understanding of modern DevOps methodologies and tools to enhance CI/CD processes.
• Server-Side Programming Languages and Frameworks: Proficiency in working with various backend technologies.
• Database Technologies (SQL/NoSQL): Experience in architecting, managing, and optimizing databases.
• Clean, Maintainable, and Efficient Code: Commitment to high-quality coding standards.
• Security Awareness: Ability to implement security best practices in both DevOps and coding environments.

Bonus Skills:

• Python / PHP / Typescript / ReactJS
• AI/ML models and usage
• ETL pipelines in AWS (Glue / Apache Spark)
• API Load testing
