Grade: Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager, Senior Manager

Salary: 45k - 103k base

Location: London, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow

Our client is a leading global consulting firm, expanding its Technology Strategy & Transformation practice across the UK. The team works at the intersection of business and technology, advising CIOs and CTOs at FTSE 100 organisations and major public sector bodies on how to use technology as a driver of growth, efficiency, and large-scale change.

This role sits within one of the fastest-growing teams in the business, currently scaling from ~35 to 50 consultants this year. As part of this growth, the team is investing in individuals who can combine strategic thinking with delivery capability, and who are motivated to play a visible role in shaping both client outcomes and the future of the practice.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of engagements spanning technology strategy, IT cost and value optimisation, and IT M&A (integration and separation), gaining exposure to complex, high-impact transformation programmes.

The IT Strategy & Performance Consultant will...

– Lead and deliver key workstreams across complex technology strategy and transformation engagements

– Develop technology strategies, roadmaps, and target operating models aligned to business goals

– Support IT cost optimisation initiatives including benchmarking, TCO analysis, and value realisation

– Contribute to M&A activity, including technology integration and separation planning

– Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including CIO/CTO-level clients

– Support business development through proposals, RFPs, and client pitches

– Contribute to the development of new offerings and internal capability as the team scales

– Develop informed perspectives on emerging technologies such as AI, cloud, and cybersecurity

– Bring experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, or IT cost/value optimisation

– Have a strong understanding of IT strategy frameworks, operating models, and transformation roadmaps

– Be commercially aware, with the ability to link technology decisions to business outcomes

– Demonstrate experience working with senior stakeholders in complex environments

– Ideally have consulting experience or a strong in-house strategy / transformation background

– Have exposure to M&A, integration, or separation (desirable but not essential)
