About the roleWe'recurrently looking for an? ambitious and enthusiastic? Cutover Lead to join our Transformation team on a Fixed Term Contract basis (Hybrid/On-site asrequiredduring cutover periods)The role provides project management delivery to create a coordinated cutover plan across the various areas of the programme, covering Data, Technical and Business streams.It is responsible for the end-to-end management of the cutover plan, ensuring seamless transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations.Main responsibilitiesIn this roleyoullEstablish an overall approach and project plans to ensure the 3 major streams of work (Data, Technical, Business) can be delivered in the desired cutover windowDefine and obtain agreement on the principles for cutoverOversee/Create the Data, Technical and Business plans for cutoverDevelop comprehensive cutover runbooks, checklists and decision logsMap dependencies across all workstreams and identify critical path activitiesEstablish a cutover governance framework including decision- making authority and escalation pathsIdentify, track and mitigate cutover risks ;maintain RAID logProvide command and control around the entry into cutover and cutover trials including exit criteriaDevelop and maintain rollback procedures and contingency plansProvide evidence-based Go/No-Go recommendations for cutover readinessWork with the BAU environment and release manager to ensure environments are available for the cutover trialsValidate readiness criteria are met before proceeding to live cutoverProvide regular communication with senior stakeholders, business owners, and technical leadsEnsure the appropriate resources are allocated and available during cutover windowsCoordinate with business continuity teams to minimise operational disruptionFacilitate cutover readiness meetings and decision- making forumsExperience & qualificationsTo be successful in this roleyoullneed:Proven experience leading complex IT/business transformation cutovers (minimum 3-5 years)A demonstrable project management background with relevant certifications (Prince2, PMP, Agile, or equivalent)Experience with cutover planning tools (e.g., Cutover.com, ServiceNow, MS Project, Smartsheet)Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levelsDemonstrable command and control capabilities under pressureExperience running cutover rehearsals/trials and incorporating lessons learnedAn understanding of data migration, technical infrastructure, and business changeRisk and issue management expertise with a proven track record of mitigationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and disciplinesITIL Foundation or similar service management qualification (desirable)Experience in construction, building materials, or related industries(desirable)Knowledge of SAP/ERP implementations and cutoversChange management certification (e.g.,Prosci, CMI)(desirable)Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologiesPrevious experience in 24/7 operational environmentsAn understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in UK business operationsExperience with cloud migration and infrastructure cutoversWhy TarmacWe don't just offer a job, we offer a career.Alongside this role, you'll have access to industry-leading rewards, development opportunities, and a culture that puts people first, including:Bonus schemeEnhanced holiday entitlementContributory pension schemeAccess to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc.Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential adviceAccess to join our Employee Communities (employee networks) we currently have nine communities inc.(REACH) Religious, Ethnic, Cultural Heritage, LGBTQ+, Parents & carers, Ability, Wellbeing, Female voice and menopauseTraining and development opportunitiesTarmac is committed to being a Forces-friendly employer.If youre coming from a military background, well support your transition and help you build a successful career with us.Were proud to be part of CRH, and even prouder to be an equal opportunity employer.
