The Role

As a Data Architect, you will work across diverse estates (on-prem and cloud), translating business outcomes into robust data designs, and guide engineering teams to deliver secure, governed, and high-quality data products.

Your responsibilities:

• Partner with business/product/technology stakeholders to translate requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models (Data Vault 2.0, Kimball, modern dimensional).
• Design and document data platform blueprints covering ingestion, curation, serving, and consumption layers; keep architecture artifacts current (ArchiMate/Confluence).
• Define data integration patterns (batch/streaming) and canonical data contracts; set standards for APIs, events, and semantic layers.
• Drive data governance and observability (catalog, lineage, DQ rules, SLAs/SLOs) with tools such as Collibra/Purview; embed controls for privacy/regulatory (BCBS 239, GDPR).
• Provide architectural oversight during delivery; perform design reviews and coach engineers on performance, reliability, and cost.
• Align with TOGAF/ArchiMate and Agile ways of working, steward architecture runway and incremental value delivery.
• Contribute reusable reference architectures and accelerators for common BFSI use cases (customer 360, finance reporting, regulatory packs).

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Experience on Hadoop based architecture is desirable.
• Experience on Any one of On-prem Tech – Oracle Exadata, Teradata, SAP Hana or Netezza desirable.
• Hands-on experience in Data Architect with multiple technology.
• Experience with one of the ETL Technologies Informatica, Talend or Azure Data Factory; streaming (Kafka).
• Experience across warehousing platforms (Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse).
• Proven work with data catalog, lineage, DQ (Collibra/Purview; Great Expectations/dbt tests).

Desirable skills:

• BFSI domain exposure (risk, finance, customer analytics, regulatory reporting).
• Cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC (Terraform/Bicep).
• Certifications in TOGAF or cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP SA)
