The Role
As a Healthcare Enterprise Architect, you will lead the design and governance of enterprise-level technology solutions within the Public Sector healthcare ecosystem, including at the national regional and local (Trust) level. This role ensures alignment between business objectives, clinical workflows, and IT architecture to deliver secure, interoperable, and patient-centric digital services. Working at the forefront of digital healthcare, you will help align technology with care delivery, ensuring interoperability and compliance with Government standards.
Key area of accountabilities for the role will be:
- Chief Architect – Consulting & Advisory
- Strategy & Transformation
- Technology Trend and Insights
- Provide solutions for RFP/bids/deal pursuits
Key responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap for healthcare systems (patient portals, outpatient and inpatient redesign, interoperability of health records and cloud first approach).
- Align architecture with national health standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and regulatory compliance (GDPR, DTAC, DSPT, Clinical Safety & Accessibility requirements).
- Ensure data interoperability across health and social care services.
- Establish architecture principles, patterns, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure solutions meet patient safety and operational needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor for digital transformation initiatives.
- Drive adoption of cloud, AI, and analytics for population health and predictive care.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for digital health innovation.
- Ensure architecture meets cybersecurity standards and patient data protection regulation including implement of risk management and resilience strategies.
- Drive design, development, implementation, integration, and support for existing health systems to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
- Drive implementation covering aspects like creating the implementation plan, identifying the right modules that will be rolled out first, user engagement and system adoption.
- Ensure seamless system integration with existing platforms
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
- Proven experience as an enterprise architect in healthcare sector especially public sector
- Proficient knowledge of healthcare IT standards (HL7, FHIR, SNOMED CT,DTAC, DSPT)
- Understanding of health sector ecosystems, social care and various pathways.
- Expertise in cloud platforms, integration technologies, and data governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and develop implementation plans.
- Resilient and adaptable in complex program environments.
- Equally comfortable engaging in small-scale “door opener” and large-scale, high value engagements
- Evidence of ongoing personal development
