The Role

As a Java Backend Engineer, you will be required to design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java (8+) and Spring Boot.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java (8+) and Spring Boot
• Build secure, scalable, and high‐performance RESTful APIs
• Develop cloud‐native solutions deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Implement end‐to‐end feature delivery including development, unit testing, integration, and deployment
• Collaborate closely with architects, frontend engineers, QA, and DevOps teams
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot production issues and support application stability and performance
• Adhere to security, compliance, and engineering best practices expected in regulated environments

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong hands‐on experience with Java (8/11+)
• Deep experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with GCP services such as - Cloud Run / GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL / BigQuery (preferred), Cloud Storage.
