The Role

As a PSA Engineer - Generation, you will be responsible for administering and optimizing Energy Management Systems (EMS) to ensure reliable performance and operational stability. The role involves system configuration, tuning, and security patching, along with performing technical corrective actions to resolve EMS service issues. You will collaborate with diverse teams to maintain and enhance generation management systems and support business continuity through efficient technical operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) system through application configuration, tuning and security patching.
• Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS system.
• Conduct code review, deployment, testing and monitoring of break/fix patches and modification

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Solid experience in Power system applications (Generation) e.g., Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Load Frequency Control, Load Forecasting, Economic Dispatch, Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency analysis, and Operator Training Simulator (OTS).
• Hands-on expertise preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS/GDC Platform Software, as well as EMS of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc.
• Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating environments.
• Strong understanding of communication protocols: IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, and OPC.
• Previous experience of working with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience in programming languages for system integration or scripting, such as C, C++, PERL, or similar.
• Knowledge of SQL, shell scripting, and ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.
• Experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
