The Role
As a Retail Business Analyst, you will contribute to the design and delivery of major transformation programmes. This may include designing new operating models, building business cases, supporting delivery of change programmes, and undertaking evaluations to provide clear, business‐focused recommendations. Experience within the retail sector, specifically Commercial roles or Space, Range & Display, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse and document business processes to support system redesign and process improvement projects, delivering against client objectives.
• Test hypotheses effectively and support the development of new opportunities.
• Work cross‐functionally to develop tools that help clients solve business problems.
• Create clear and engaging presentations for clients, translating complex problems into simple narratives with clear recommendations.
• Coordinate work across the team, ensuring readiness for client meetings and maintaining accurate internal reporting.
• Stay up to date with market trends and technology innovations in the retail domain.
• Support client transformation objectives by assessing current processes, operating models, and technologies to identify opportunities and risks.
• Help develop transformation plans to optimise customer experience, operational efficiency, or system landscapes.
• Use your knowledge and experience to provide recommendations that consider the needs of multiple stakeholders.
Your Profile
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
• Strong previous work experience in the retail sector, with a solid understanding of retail markets and challenges, specifically Commercial or Space, Range & Display processes.
• IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and mobile digital platforms.
• Strong communication skills, with ability to articulate and clear in writing, presentations, and one‐to‐one interactions.
• Attention to detail, effective time organisation, and willingness to learn and proactively improve your skills.
• Outcome‐focused, with determination, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Personal accountability with enthusiasm to develop your own projects and take ownership.
• Calm and adaptable in fast‐paced and ambiguous environments.
• Exposure to change management; knowledge of change management techniques and experience in business case development is an advantage.
