The Role

As a SAP ABAP Technical Expert – Technical Consultant you will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting projects by using latest technologies in CRM area.

Your responsibilities:

• Perform Techno Functional analysis and design.
• SAP ABAP Technical Solution Design, development and support.
• Join a customer workshop and discuss the functional requirements.
• Create technical design document (TDD) based on discussion with business users.
• Ability to create technical design specifications based on the functional requirements.
• Discussion with offshore development team and work with them to develop the algorithm, batch scheduler, Portals and Zones.
• Need to engage with multiple teams from various geographical locations (e.g., Integration, DBA, technical, testing).
• Validate the algorithm/artifacts if it's delivered as per the user requirements.
• Develop test script with testing team and execute those as and when necessary.
• Once the functionality is deployed in SIT (System integration testing instance) validate and deploy it to UAT environment. If there are defects raised by users, they need to be fixed.
• Work with user to close the UAT with user.
• Once it is sign off developed artifacts need to move to production with the help of SAP BASIS team.
• If users need any training on the user functionalities, they need to extend help in training users.
• For support monitoring of tickets through SDM tools.
• Acceptance of tickets from the queue as per the SLA.
• Based on the merits of the ticket interacting with functional users and trying for resolution. Based on SLA, the tickets prioritize the tickets and contact different teams.
• Distribution of tickets in different queues.
• Interacts with person/team for next level of discussion to help in resolution.
• Flexible enough to extend service support.
• Map the Business Process with SAP, Configuring and Coding the SAP ABAP system according to the customer requirement.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Very good understanding of SAP ABAP RICEFW Objects.
• Well versed in core ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP areas like DDIC objects, Reports, Function modules, Module pool, Classes and Objects, Forms (SAP Scripts), Enhancements, IDOCs, BADIs, Webservices etc.
• Should possess excellent debugging skills, ABAP code performance tuning abilities and analytical skills for understanding the requirement and preparing the technical design.
• Good experience in SAP Workflow, should be able to create custom business workflows based on requirement, modify existing workflows, troubleshoot workflow failures.
• Experience and knowledge on IDOCS, Interfaces testing with SAP PI and 3rd Party systems.
• Must be able to implement the designed technical solution using the industry specific standard best practices and customized business logic whenever necessary.
• Ability to identify root causes of system issues in live SAP applications.
• Ability to debug and identify issues in custom ABAP logic implemented via BADIs, ABAP programs, replication, BAPIs etc.
• Good understanding of software development life cycle and Agile/iterative methodology.
• Proven expertise in testing designed solutions covering all Business scenarios and considering regression impact as well.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• Functional Knowledge of utility industry.
• Knowledge in SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge in ABAP on HANA.
• Experience of managing Commercial and Industrial utility customers.
• Stakeholder Management.
