The Role
As a Senior Business Analyst. You will work collaboratively, but independently, with the programme team to determine the approach to deliver expert business analysis, activities and deliverables for large and complex projects or programmes. The appropriate techniques & methodologies will be determined to support type of implementation needed to meet the business needs & objectives
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Business Analysis workstream activities & deliverables within a complex programme or project with the ability to deal with uncertainty. The direction given and decisions made will have a measurable impact on the effective delivery.
- Definition & validation of the scope, objectives & benefits. Define & gain agreement of the business goals needed to steer the project, programme or work stream.
- Define & plan the agreed analysis approach. Identify the deliverables together with the tasks & activities appropriate to support the programme or project. Provide resource and milestone estimates. Resource demand planning.
- Engage with Product/Business owners & all key stakeholders across multiple business areas to establish business needs and promote business analysis capability.
- Responsible for process designs, re-engineering & modelling working collaboratively with designated operational & transition teams to support implementation.
- This includes leading and managing a BA team to produce.
- Responsible for working with solution providers (i.e., IT, Digital, Technology or Operations) to assure the delivery of the requirements & attaining the business objectives
- Leading the BA workstream & facilitating working collaboratively with cross-functional delivery teams to achieve the desired business outcomes.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Experience of working in a communications, media, or complex organisation.
- Successful delivery of complex, cross-functional business change projects from start-up to implementation.
- Proven experience of working with delivery methodologies. (i.e., Waterfall)
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience with a variety of Business Analysis tools and techniques.
- Experience of defining analysis approach and planning the Business Analysis workstream including identification of deliverables & tasks, estimating resources and milestones.
- Excellent management of stakeholder relationships.
- Proven strong communication and influencing skills.
- Strong problem solving and conflict management techniques.
- Demonstrable skills in presenting information effectively.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis tools & modelling techniques. Advises on appropriate approach & application.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- ISEB Business Analysis Diploma, IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), IIBA Certificate of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or equivalent.
- Experience of working on projects that deliver new products to market within predetermined timescales.
- Previous experience of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience in working in a complex & challenging environment.
- Has resilience and commitment.
- Demonstrates good political awareness.
- Domain knowledge or experience that will be needed as part of a specific portfolio (i.e., B2B, Connectivity, Mobile or Billing).
