The Role

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for owning and shaping one or more digital products within a complex delivery environment. You will work closely with designers, engineers, business analysts, and delivery managers to ensure products are built to meet real user needs and business objectives. You will frame problems, set priorities, and make informed trade‐offs, ensuring delivery teams focus on the most valuable outcomes. The role requires strong collaboration, decision‐making, and the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans for delivery teams.

You will operate within an Agile delivery environment, supporting iterative development and continuous improvement while ensuring products align with wider organisational goals.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product vision, roadmap, and backlog
  • Use user needs and business goals to frame problems and set priorities
  • Define and communicate product outcomes and success measures
  • Make prioritisation and MVP decisions based on evidence and insight
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure clear direction and alignment
  • Collaborate with user researchers and designers to inform product decisions
  • Engage with stakeholders to balance competing needs and constraints
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and deliver intended outcomes
  • Support Agile delivery ceremonies and planning activities
  • Continuously review and refine product direction based on feedback and learning

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Strong experience in product management within digital delivery environments
  • Proven ability to frame problems and set clear product priorities
  • Experience working with Agile, multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of user‐centred design principles
  • Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and delivery constraints
  • Experience defining product outcomes, roadmaps, and backlogs
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Evidence‐based decision‐making using insight and data

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Experience delivering digital public services or large‐scale digital platforms
  • Familiarity with accessibility and service standards
  • Experience working across complex organisational environments
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
