The Role:
As a SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics Consultant, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements and delivering SAP Field Logistics solutions that support logistics operations within the Oil & Gas industry. You will work closely with business stakeholders, logistics teams, and technical consultants to design, configure, and implement SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics processes in line with industry’s best practices and operational requirements.
Your Responsibilities
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics solutions.
• Configure, implement, and support SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics processes.
• Conduct business workshops, requirement gathering sessions, fit-gap analysis, and solution design activities.
• Perform SAP IS-Oil Remote Logistics Management (RLM) assessments and support migration to SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics.
• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for custom developments, enhancements, and integrations.
• Design and configure field logistics processes including fuel distribution, bulk deliveries, returns management, inventory reconciliation, and settlement processing.
• Configure and optimize delivery processing, transportation management, inventory management, stock movements, and logistics settlement processes.
• Facilitate solution demonstrations, design reviews, and stakeholder sign-off sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Transportation Management (TM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Finance & Controlling (FI/CO).
• Support data migration activities related to logistics master data, transactional data, historical records, and inventory balances.
• Design and support interfaces with external systems including mobile logistics applications, terminal automation systems, weighbridges, GPS platforms, and third-party logistics providers.
• Participate in testing activities including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production support.
• Support cutover planning, deployment activities, go-live preparations, and hypercare support.
• Provide end-user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and process documentation.
• Ensure compliance with business standards, operational requirements, and Oil & Gas industry best practices.
• Provide post-go-live support and continuous process improvement recommendations.
Your Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics.
• Extensive experience in:
- SAP IS-Oil Remote Logistics Management (RLM)
- Fuel Distribution
- Bulk Deliveries
- Returns Management
- Inventory Reconciliation
- Logistics Settlement Processes
• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, and transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of SAP supply chain and logistics components, including:
- Materials Management (MM)
- Sales & Distribution (SD)
- Transportation Management (TM)
- Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
- Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Finance & Controlling (FI/CO)
• Proven experience in business process analysis, fit-gap assessment, and SAP solution design.
• Experience preparing functional specifications and coordinating developments with technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration architecture, APIs, interfaces, reports, forms, and enhancements.
• Experience supporting data migration, testing, cutover, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting full project lifecycle implementations, enhancements, and production support.
Industry Knowledge
• Deep understanding of Oil & Gas logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of:
- Fuel Distribution and Dispatch Operations
- Bulk Transportation and Delivery Management

• Experience working in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Experience in global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
• Knowledge of terminal automation systems, GPS integration, mobile logistics solutions, and weighbridge interfaces.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA best practices and industry-leading logistics processes.
• Experience working with SAP Activate methodology and Agile delivery frameworks.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to design scalable and efficient logistics solutions.
• Lead SAP IS-Oil RLM to SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics assessment and migration activities.
• Support testing, cutover, deployment, go-live, and hypercare activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, project governance standards, and Oil & Gas industry requirements.
• Contribute to process optimization initiatives and continuous improvement programs within logistics operations.
• Support global delivery models and collaborate effectively within distributed project teams.
