About the Role

As a Senior UX Designer, you will be a champion for user experience, leading the definition and delivery of digital products that are grounded in deep user understanding and evidence‐based decision‐making.

You’ll play a key role in shaping what we build and why, acting as a strategic design partner across projects. From planning and conducting research, framing problems, and defining experience strategy, through to validating and refining solutions, you’ll ensure our products are intuitive, inclusive, and impactful.

This role is ideal for a designer who is comfortable working upstream in discovery, confident leading research activities, and passionate about turning insight into meaningful experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

Research & User Insight

  • Plan and lead qualitative and quantitative research activities, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics review, and stakeholder discovery
  • Select appropriate research methods based on project needs, timelines, and constraints
  • Synthesise research findings into clear insights, opportunity areas, personas, and experience principles
  • Translate research into actionable design direction and advocate for user‐centred decision making

Shape Meaningful Experiences

  • Define end‐to‐end user journeys, flows, service blueprints, and experience maps
  • Translate complex user, business, and technical needs into simple, intuitive interactions
  • Design accessible, inclusive experiences that work across web, mobile, and device‐based products

Own the UX Process End‐to‐End

  • Own projects from early discovery and research through to delivery
  • Develop low‐ and high‐fidelity prototypes to explore ideas, test assumptions, and validate solutions
  • Continuously iterate solutions based on research findings, usability testing, and performance data

Collaborate and Influence

  • Facilitate and lead research sessions, design sprints, and co‐creation workshops with clients and teams
  • Clearly communicate research insights, UX strategy, and design rationale to stakeholders
  • Build trust and buy‐in by connecting user insight to business outcomes

Elevate Design & Research Practice

  • Promote best‐practice UX and research methods, frameworks, and standards
  • Mentor junior designers in research planning, synthesis, and applied UX thinking
  • Contribute to improving the maturity of UX and research across the organisation

What We’re Looking For

Strong UX & Research Experience

  • Proven experience in a Senior Product or UX Design role within an agency or product‐led environment
  • Hands‐on experience planning and conducting user research, not just consuming insights
  • Strong ability to synthesise research findings into clear design recommendations
  • Experience designing and iterating solutions based on qualitative and quantitative data

Strategic Problem Solver

  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Comfortable framing ambiguous, complex problems and defining clear user‐centred goals
  • Ability to connect user needs, research insights, and business objectives

Excellent Communicator & Facilitator

  • Confident presenting research findings, experience strategies, and design concepts to clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to influence decisions through evidence and clear storytelling
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops, research sessions, and collaborative working

Craft, Curiosity & Collaboration

  • Solid understanding of UI and visual design fundamentals to support strong UX outcomes
  • Experience using prototyping and testing tools to validate ideas
  • Curious mindset with a passion for understanding user behaviour, emerging technologies, and evolving digital experiences
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working across disciplines
