Project Manager
Role Summary
The Plant Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects across the customers manufacturing plant, ensuring these projects are delivered within contracted timeframes and budgets to stated delivery quality standards.
Area of Responsibility
- Manage the delivery of the core Plant enablers including but not restricted to – Infrastructure, IT services, H/W, Applications and End Points
- Managing the deployment of key manufacturing enterprise systems.
- Support and actively contribute to established governance functions across the plant
- Manage Risk, Issues and Dependencies together with Change and Release Management at project level and establish a compliance mechanism at Portfolio level
- Create Project documentation and artefacts using customer standard templates and available online tools
- Manage the plant dependencies including - Manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, Ops
- Provide guidance to typical project team members: business analysts; business architects; solution architects; developers; testers giving clear understanding of project / programme expectations
- Managing teams across multiple workstreams, including onshore/ offshore coordination
- Ensure that project plans and schedules are robust and optimise project resources and timescales and are communicated effectively to the project team
- Responsible for people management and resourcing of the project; may manage other Project Managers on site
- Identify and scope out the integration of existing and new systems into the plant (SAP, MES, PLM, Legacy)
- Define the roadmaps and manage delivery demands, ensuring alignment between business & IT strategies.
- Draft and present business praposals.
Knowledge / Experience
- Application of various Project Management/Programme Management/IT Delivery Management concepts such as PMP, Prince2, MSP, Agile, Waterfall
- Experienced senior manager having worked in rapidly changing, pressurised and diverse domains within Automotive and / or Manufacturing and IT Project / Programme Management
- Enterprise IT systems in an automotive manufacturer
- Proven business analysis and significant vendor & stakeholder management skills at all levels
- Demonstrable experience within both technical infrastructure and application development
- Proven strategic planning and thinking skills, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
- Able to build project teams' capabilities through coaching and providing new challenges while considering skills, knowledge, experience, existing workloads and aspirations
- Disciplined and experienced in customer billing processes
- Should have excellent presentation skill
