Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure / Hybrid)

• Salary up to £65,000
• Based in London (remote)

We’re hiring a Cloud Platform Engineer to join a business operating a hybrid environment moving toward fully cloud (Azure-led).

This is a hands-on platform role focused on ownership, stability, security, and cost optimisation, ideal for someone who wants to go beyond day-to-day support and play a key role in evolving and improving the platform

Key Responsibilities:

• Owning and managing a hybrid cloud platform (Azure, on-prem, small AWS footprint)
• Ensuring stability, performance, and security across the environment
• Supporting on-prem to cloud connectivity and hybrid infrastructure
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving platform issues
• Driving cloud cost optimisation and efficiency improvements
• Supporting data and integration services (ADF, Logic Apps, APIs)
• Implementing and maintaining security controls and access policies
• Contributing to automation, improvements, and platform evolution
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Skills & Experience:

Experience as a Cloud, Azure, or Infrastructure Engineer

Strong Azure knowledge including:

• IaaS (VMs, storage, networking)
• Identity (Entra ID / Azure AD)

Experience working in a hybrid environment (on-prem + cloud)

Solid infrastructure background (Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, M365)

Working knowledge of AWS (non-primary)

Understanding of security tools, controls, and best practices

Backup experience (e.g. Veeam or similar)

• Ability to work with stakeholders and contribute to platform improvement s
