Tate are delighted to be working with an NHS Client to recruit a Technical Lead position on a remote basis.

Our client is looking to bring in some additional technical delivery support for an NHS digital program, someone who can act as a Scrum Master/technical delivery enabler. You would be embedded directly with their technical team and contractors, helping them deliver in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Main Duties

  • A focus on facilitating agile delivery (sprint planning, stand-ups, retros, backlog management) rather than high-level project controls.
  • Day-to-day support for the technical team, unblocking issues and keeping delivery moving at pace.
  • Technical awareness to bridge communication between contractors, technical colleagues, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coach, enable, and provide clarity to the existing team.
  • Expand the service to draw on additional datasets.
  • Improve and streamline data pipelines.
  • Transition to and expand the service with other NHS digital programs.

 

Ideal Candidate

  • Agile Delivery - Essential
  • Scrum Master - Essential
  • Ability to structure, roadmap, and align programme goals with organisational priorities
  • Skilled in setting up decision-making frameworks, escalation pathways, and oversight boards
  • Proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks across delivery streams
  • Builds trusted relationships with internal and external partners
  • Designs KPI frameworks and monitoring tools to report on impact, timelines, and budget
  • Synthesises complex programme updates for varied audiences-exec, delivery, public
  • Can revise delivery plans and resource allocation as requirements evolve
