About the Opportunity:

As MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health packages throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction and procurement through to commissioning, testing and final handover.

Working closely with contractors, consultants, specialist suppliers and client stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring critical systems are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.

MEP Project Manager - Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of MEP packages on complex data centre developments across Europe.
  • Manage mechanical, electrical, BMS, fire protection and specialist systems contractors.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and drive collaboration across all stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance against programme, budget, quality and safety objectives.
  • Review technical documentation and ensure designs are coordinated prior to installation.
  • Oversee commissioning activities, integrated systems testing and project handover processes.
  • Identify and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Chair coordination meetings and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant European standards, regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Support commercial management activities including change control and scope management.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing MEP packages on large-scale construction or mission-critical projects.
  • Previous data centre experience, ideally within hyperscale or colocation environments.
  • Strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems including power distribution, cooling systems, backup power solutions, fire protection and building management systems.
  • Experience managing contractors and subcontractors throughout delivery and commissioning phases.
  • Knowledge of European construction practices and project delivery frameworks.
  • Strong commercial awareness and programme management capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using project planning and reporting tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
