12-month Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship at TaxAssist Worcester: sourcing, cleaning and presenting data using Excel/Power BI. Needs GCSE Maths & English 4/C. Leads to Level 4 Data Analyst.
Role
The apprentice will support data related activity across the organisation. Responsibilities may include:
• Assisting with the collection, sourcing and validation of data from multiple systems
• Preparing, cleaning and formatting data ready for analysis
• Supporting basic data analysis and quality checks
• Helping to produce simple reports, charts or visualisations to communicate findings
• Supporting secure storage and management of data in line with policies and regulations
• Communicating data findings to colleagues and internal users
Training
As part of this Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship, you will receive comprehensive training including:
Structured off-the-job training delivered by Solveway Apprenticeships.
Support to compile portfolio evidence linked to your workplace activities.
Regular progress reviews to track your development.
Guidance from a designated workplace mentor.
Preparation for successful completion of your End Point Assessment.
The employer will provide appropriate workplace tasks to develop competence in data handling, analysis, presentation, and professional behaviours.
Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship, you will have developed strong practical data skills, technical knowledge, and professional behaviours, positioning you for progression within the organisation. There may be opportunities to advance to a Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, subject to performance and business needs. You could also progress into more senior data or analytics roles, supporting a long-term career in data, business insight, or digital services.
