Our client, a leading international UK headquartered City law firm is seeking a talented Associate / Senior Associate to join its top ranked Technology team. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract offering the chance to work on cutting-edge technology matters for global clients.

Due to increased demand, the team seeks an experienced associate to support complex technology related projects and day-to-day contracting for businesses undergoing technology transformation or delivering technology products and services.

You will advise on a broad range of technology agreements, including licensing, cloud, AI, SaaS, IoT, and project-focused documents for outsourcing, procurement, and tech implementation projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a market-leading team at the forefront of new technologies.

The Team:

The Commercial group regularly advises on agreements for e-commerce, manufacturing, supply, franchising, marketing, advertising, and promotions, often involving technology and long-term strategic relationships.

As part of the Technology team, you will collaborate with colleagues across a number of sectors such as energy, aviation, consumer & retail, supporting tech-related contracts on an international scale.

The role:

  • You will handle technology-related agreements (e.g. software licensing, cloud/SaaS, outsourcing, AI contracts) and general commercial contracting.
  • Manage complex matters and client relationships with confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to deliver transformational projects.
  • Provide clear, practical advice on key areas of commercial and technology law.

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor with strong experience in commercial technology and commercial contracts within a leading law firm. Secondment experience and/or previous in-house experience would be an advantage.
  • Able to handle aspects of complex matters and clients, with strong negotiation skills.
  • Exposure to sectors such as Retail & Consumer, Financial Services, Aviation & Defence, or Technology is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships.
