Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-established Further Education provision in Leyland to recruit a Teacher of Computing to start in September 2026. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable computing specialist looking to make a real impact in post-16 education.
The Role
You will be delivering engaging and industry-relevant computing lessons across FE courses, supporting learners to develop both technical knowledge and employability skills. The successful candidate will be confident teaching a range of computing topics, potentially including:
- IT & Digital Skills
- Programming (e.g. Python, Java or similar)
- Cyber Security / Networking basics
- Software Development or Systems
You will play an integral role in motivating students, tracking progress, and preparing learners for further study or careers within the digital sector.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a relevant degree or qualification in Computing/IT
- Teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) desirable, but not essential
- Experience teaching post-16 or FE learners is advantageous
- Passionate about technology and delivering high-quality teaching
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Committed to supporting student progress and outcomes
