Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly regarded all-girls secondary school in Wandsworth to recruit a passionate and dedicated Computing Teacher for a part-time position (Monday to Thursday) starting in September.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious school community where academic achievement is valued and students are encouraged to excel in STEM subjects. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring the next generation of young women to develop their digital, computational, and problem-solving skills.
About the Role- Teaching Computing and Computer Science across KS3–KS5
- Delivering engaging and innovative lessons that promote a love of technology
- Supporting students in developing programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy skills
- Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
- Planning, marking, and assessing in line with school policies
- Using assessment data to monitor progress and raise attainment
- Contributing to curriculum development within the Computing department
- Supporting enrichment activities, coding clubs, and STEM initiatives where appropriate
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
- Part-time role – Monday to Thursday
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Degree in Computing, Computer Science, ICT, or a related subject
Experience teaching Computing within a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge across the Computing curriculum
Ability to teach GCSE Computing confidently (A-Level experience desirable)
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
