Job Title: Windows Desktop Engineer
Location: London, UK (3 days per week on-site)
Rate: £510 per day, Outside IR35 (dependent on experience)
Duration: 12 months
Start Date: January 2027
Tec Partners are working with a leading technology client, who are currently looking for an experienced Windows Desktop Engineer to work on a customer assignment as part of a modern desktop programme.
As a Windows Desktop Engineer you will be supporting the move from on-premise VDI to a laptop-first desktop model across a large, live enterprise estate.
What we are looking for:
- Infrastructure/cloud engineer with a Windows desktop focus
- Desktop transformation delivered at scale (10,000s of users)
- Strong legacy on-prem Windows: SCCM/MECM, AD, Group Policy
- Modern management: Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID
- Windows 365 Cloud PC / AVD and Microsoft 365
- VDI migration experience (Citrix or VMware Horizon)
- Automation experience desirable
- Available to start in January 2027
