Job Role: Setup Box Testing Engineer

Expertise in Device Farm, STB Protocols, and Witbe Technologies

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled STB Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of device farm management, testing methodologies and protocols within the Set-Top Box (STB) domain, and hands-on experience with Witbe Technologies. This role will involve designing, executing, and automating test cases to ensure the highest quality and performance of STB solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans for STB devices across various platforms and environments.
• Utilize device farm infrastructure to manage and scale automated and manual test executions efficiently.
• Apply knowledge of STB domain protocols (such as DVB, IPTV, OTT, HDMI-CEC, etc.) to validate device functionality, interoperability, and performance.
• Leverage Witbe Technologies for monitoring, testing, and ensuring end-to-end quality of service and experience.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues discovered during testing.
• Document test results, defects, and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with device farm tools and infrastructure for test automation and management.
• In-depth understanding of STB test protocols and standards relevant to the industry.
• Hands-on expertise in Witbe Technologies and its application in device and service quality assurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation.
• Knowledge of network protocols and streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with other QA automation frameworks and tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
