Software Engineer: E-Commerce Tech Startup (London)

We're a funded e-commerce tech startup approaching public launch. The platform is built, transactions are live, and we're looking for an experienced, motivated software engineer to join us as an early hire.

You'll work across the full stack directly with the founding team: frontend, backend, iOS and Android mobile app development, database design and maintenance, and AI integration. This is a hands-on role with real scope, not a support function.

We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of strong full-stack experience in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, comfortable with serverless architecture, cloud infrastructure, and real-time databases. Database design, data modelling, and ongoing maintenance should be second nature.

You'll have practical experience integrating AI into production systems: working with AI APIs, building real workflows, and applying effective prompting. Fluency with tools such as Claude Code is a strong plus.

Security-conscious, quality-driven, and comfortable working at pace in a small team.
