DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes, AWS - Hybrid
DevOps Engineer is required for a rare opportunity to help drive an established business, with secure financial backing, and decades of industry knowledge/loyal customers, into the future with modern, scalable solutions.
You'll play a critical part in evolving the existing platform their applications run on. You'll work across an environment which includes Kubernetes clusters, observability stack, and cloud infrastructure to keep things running smoothly, secure, and cost-effective.
Your day-day work will include -
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (k3s and full-fat k8s)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that developers actually enjoy using
- Own the observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and alerting
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
- Drive improvements in reliability, security, and cost efficiency
- Respond to and triage incidents; lead blameless post-mortems
- Partner with developers to make services production-ready
- Maintain and improve internal developer platforms and tooling
Required Experience
- Solid background in a DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering role
- Strong Kubernetes experience - both k3s for lightweight/edge deployments and standard Kubernetes distributions
- Deep familiarity with the observability stack: Prometheus (PromQL, alerting rules), Grafana (dashboards, datasources), and log aggregation (Loki, ELK, or similar)
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or equivalent
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go)
- Linux administration and networking fundamentals
- Designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Flux, or similar)
- Understanding of container fundamentals (Docker, OCI, image security)
