Head of Data Engineering - hybrid
Head of Data Engineering is required by this global organisation to drive the evolution of their enterprise-wide data capability, encompassing strategy and architecture, to foster a data-first approach across the business as they modernise their offerings.
You will be required to lead on the development and delivery of the organisation's data strategy, ensuring data becomes a trusted, accessible and strategic asset. You will shape the data roadmap, champion data governance, and embed a data-driven culture across all levels of the enterprise.
Managing a team of data architects, you will build and lead the data architecture function, whilst supporting the growth of people across the data function, namely engineers, analysts, data scientists, across disparate locations. Working across all areas of the business, you will also chair the Data Council, so a background in a similar level role will be expected.

- influencing investment decisions that advance organisational data maturity.
- deep expertise in data architecture, governance and modern data technologies
- Strong stakeholder management, communication skills and experience developing high-performing teams are essential.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms, enterprise data systems and frameworks such as SFIA is highly advantageous.
